Working for Nouvita

We asked some of our employees to share with us their experience of starting work at Nouvita.  We consider our employees’ satisfaction with their working environment to be one of the most important factors in providing excellent care for our residents.

“As I scrolled through the Jobs adverts with The Nursing Times there was an advert that was eye catching. I then decided to telephone for informal chat.

I found the staff that I spoke to as very helpful and I progressed to put in my application. On being invited for the interview the reception I received was exceptional and at this point I made up my mind that if I pass my interview I will be accepting the job. The Manager had time for me and managed to make me feel at easy pre and post interview. This carried on even when I had joined the team.

On joining the Team everyone was very helpful and I was made to feel at home.

A new job can be daunting however due to the support that I got from all the staff and management I felt as if I had known everyone in the team for a long time.  I still enjoy working here and I think the employer has great systems in place to support the residents to maintain independence.

The employer also draws strengths from the other care homes and hospital and that they own and I find this very helpful.”

Olivia Ndoro, Deputy Manager, Eltisley Manor

“I chose to work for Nouvita as I wanted to enhance and make a positive difference in people’s lives.  I find my job role very rewarding and interesting.  Every day brings a new experience and different challenges.  I work within a very professional and supportive staff team and I find the management very approachable.

The shift pattern is great as it is a rolling rota and I work alternate weekends.  The shifts may seem long but the day goes quickly and the good thing about working long shifts is I get more days off, so plenty of time to myself!”

Tracey Figgis, HCA, Eltisley Manor

“Working at Eltisley Manor differs from day to day.  The different challenges that we face makes the job exciting, the assistance and support we give the residents makes the job rewarding.

The training that we receive aids us with our job and helps promote quality care; I have recently had 1:1 training on medication ordering which has given me a new challenge/goal.”

 Charles Akinkoye, HCA, Eltisley Manor
